Question by I Speak For All Liberals: “Their mission is to attack Iraq’s nuclear, chemical and biological weapons programs”, did the President lie?
Did the President lie when said this about the military action taken against Iraq citing WMD evidence as justification?
“Earlier today, I ordered America’s armed forces to strike military and security targets in Iraq. They are joined by British forces. Their mission is to attack Iraq’s nuclear, chemical and biological weapons programs and its military capacity to threaten its neighbors.
Their purpose is to protect the national interest of the United States, and indeed the interests of people throughout the Middle East and around the world.
Saddam Hussein must not be allowed to threaten his neighbors or the world with nuclear arms, poison gas or biological weapons.”
– President Bill Clinton, 1998
Attacking Iraq the Clinton way = bombs killing camels, Saddam still in power
Attacking Iraq the Bush way = invasion, Saddam dead!
Answer by Easter Bunny
I don’t know, did he?
How many men and how many trillions of dollars did Clinton’s attack cost the US?
But thanks for highlighting how Clinton attacked Iraq the smart way and Bush invaded Iraq the incredibly stupid way.
Edit: Attacking Iraq the Clinton way: budget surplus and no American lives lost.
Attacking Iraq the Bush way: 4,000 + American dead, trillions of dollars and no WMDs found.
Please GOPer, make the next election all about the Iraq invasion, I’d love nothing better.
