Question by QnA00789: Question for Professional Java Programmers. What kinds of tasks do you perform in a corporate setting?
Please don’t say “java programming” LOL…I was just wondering what kinds of tasks you are asked to perform? What kinds of problems you are asked to solve? Also, if you feel like adding any additional info or if you think my question is faulty, please relate your knowledge on the subject. Thank you

I am a Java Programmer in a corporate setting. I’ve been asked to write programs that read from corporate databases, read from other databases, and read from files. User interfaces – windows with objects like textboxes, buttons, and such, programs that execute certain corporate programs on other servers, and then read the output of those executions and store the result, present the results in graphic form. I’ve had to enhance COTS (commercial off-the-shelf) software with add-on programs that extend the functionality of the software. I’ve had to write reports and web pages with java server pages which execute as the page is loaded and read from and write to databases.
