Question by JCisMe: “Internet Explorer has stopped working” msg EVERY TIME i close IE… grrr…?
It says: Windows can check online for a solution to the problem. Then it says “Check online for a solution and close the program” or “Close the Program”

It ONLY happens when i close IE. I just got this laptop and it’s done this since day one, i thought it was just standard w/ vista but it’s irritating. No new programs that i installed to spark… HELP PLEASE !

go to windowsupdate.com and see if there is a patch available for your version if IE, otherwise just reload IE. It shouldnt take long.

  1. Try running chkdsk /r. You’ll get a message that it can’t run while the volume is in use. Type Y for yes to run on reboot and then reboot. It takes about 30 to 45 minutes to run.

  2. well didn’t you choose “check” on the popup? so that windows can check with microsoft about the error message? maybe if you did it would give you a webpage telling you what is wrong and what to do about it.
