Question by chuckynjwvu: 3 versions of Java runtime environment in my “add/remove programs” folder: SE 1.4.2_04; _05; _06.?
Do I need all three? They are 130 MB each.. not that big a deal, but I am wondering if this has something to do with my laptop’s malaise.

It’s doubful they’re the cause unless you’re low on disk space. I believe JRE is up to 07 now, so you may wish to uninstall all three and then download the new version at:

http://www.java.com

  1. Oh no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Keep the latest one and uninstall the previous two.
    There will be no problem at all.
